Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 1 June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP" or "Policy") sets out the rules that govern how you may use AeroVigil. It applies to everyone who accesses or uses the platform, including account holders, their authorised users, organisations, and anyone using the service on a trial, pilot, or evaluation basis.
AeroVigil is operated by Aersynx OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code [Estonian registry code]) with its registered address at Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia ("AeroVigil", "we", "us", "our").
This Policy forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. If you do not agree to this Policy, you must not use the platform.
Breach of this Policy may lead to suspension or termination of your access, and may result in further action as described in the Enforcement section below.
1. Lawful use only
You may use AeroVigil only for lawful purposes and only in accordance with this Policy and the Terms of Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform complies with all laws, regulations, and rules that apply to you. This includes the laws of the country from which you access the service and the laws applicable to your organisation and operations.
You must not use the platform in any way that infringes the rights of any other person, that is fraudulent or deceptive, or that has any unlawful or harmful purpose or effect.
AeroVigil is a business-to-business decision-support service intended for flight operators, airlines, dispatch and security teams, and similar organisations. You must not use the platform in any manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.
2. Prohibited activities
You must not do, attempt to do, or permit or assist any third party to do, any of the following:
- No unauthorised access — access or attempt to access any account, workspace, data, or part of the platform that you are not authorised to access; circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, authentication, or access-control mechanism; or access or attempt to access the data of any other workspace or customer.
- No reverse engineering — reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying structure, or algorithms of the platform, except to the extent that this restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law.
- No unauthorised extraction — scrape, crawl, spider, or carry out automated or bulk extraction, harvesting, or collection of content or data from the platform, except through the API and within the rate limits and quotas we provide.
- No unauthorised sharing or resale — resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercialise access to the platform, or share, transfer, or disclose your access credentials, without our prior written authorisation.
- No infringement of rights — infringe, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, confidentiality, or other rights of AeroVigil or any third party.
- No malicious code — upload, transmit, or introduce any virus, worm, trojan, ransomware, or other malicious or harmful code, file, or program.
- No interference with platform integrity — interfere with, disrupt, or impair the integrity, performance, or availability of the platform, exceed or evade applicable rate limits or usage quotas, or conduct or facilitate any denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack.
- No misrepresentation — misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or authority, impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or imply a relationship with AeroVigil or any third party.
3. Responsible use of intelligence outputs
AeroVigil is a decision-support tool only. It aggregates official advisories, government notices, OSINT indicators, news signals, and live flight activity to help you produce your own aviation security risk assessments faster and with a clear evidence trail.
AeroVigil does not make final security or safety decisions automatically. The platform does not replace your professional judgement, your operational procedures, or your legal and regulatory obligations.
You must not rely on AeroVigil outputs as the sole basis for any life-safety, flight-operations, or other critical decision. A single-source or unverified signal does not constitute a confirmed risk on its own and must not be treated as one.
You are solely responsible for verifying the information you rely on, for corroborating signals against authoritative sources, and for the final risk assessment and operational decisions you make.
You must use intelligence outputs in compliance with all applicable aviation laws and regulations, export-control rules, and trade-sanctions regimes that apply to you and your operations.
4. Data and account responsibility
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and credentials.
You must keep your account credentials confidential, safeguard them against unauthorised use, and use appropriate security measures to protect access to the platform.
You must not share, reuse, or expose credentials, and you must ensure that each authorised user maintains their own access in accordance with this Policy.
If you become aware of any actual or suspected unauthorised access, credential compromise, or other misuse of the platform, you must report it to us promptly at info@aerovigil.com.
5. Reporting violations and responsible disclosure
If you become aware of any breach of this Policy, or of any security vulnerability, weakness, or incident affecting the platform, please report it to us at info@aerovigil.com.
We support responsible disclosure. When investigating or reporting a potential vulnerability, you must act in good faith, must not access, modify, or destroy data that is not your own, must not degrade or disrupt the service, and must give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remediate before any public disclosure.
We will not pursue action against good-faith security research that complies with this section and with applicable law.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate any suspected breach of this Policy and may take any action we consider appropriate and proportionate.
Depending on the nature and severity of the breach, we may suspend or restrict your access, remove or disable offending content or activity, or terminate your account or your access to the platform.
We may pursue legal remedies where a breach causes harm to AeroVigil, our other customers, or third parties.
Where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of any person, we may cooperate with law-enforcement and other competent authorities, including by disclosing relevant information.
Suspension or termination under this Policy does not relieve you of any obligations accrued before that suspension or termination, including payment obligations.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the platform, our practices, or applicable law.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy and, where the changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the platform or by email.
Your continued use of the platform after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
